Question 1

Installer fails or reports “driver not compatible”?

Accepted Answer

This legacy package often needs administrator rights and Windows compatibility mode (XP/Vista). If setup still fails, install manually via Device Manager > Update driver > Browse > Have Disk. Match 32-bit or 64-bit Windows.

Question 2

Device not detected / card reader missing?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the PCI/CardBus controller is enabled in BIOS and visible in Device Manager. Reseat the card or adapter, show hidden devices, and scan for hardware changes. The controller must appear before its memory-card slots work.

Question 3

Version conflicts or yellow bang after Windows Update?

Accepted Answer

Windows may replace the TI driver with a generic inbox driver. Use Device Manager to roll back or uninstall the conflicting entry, then reinstall the TI package and pause automatic driver updates.
