Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Use the OEM package for the exact PCI xx21/xx11 CardBus + UltraMedia variant; run as administrator and, on newer Windows, try XP/Vista compatibility mode. Unsigned INF errors may require temporarily disabling driver signature enforcement or using a signed OEM build.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Enable CardBus/PCMCIA/PC Card support in BIOS, reseat the card or power-cycle the laptop, then scan for hardware changes in Device Manager and install manually by browsing to the INF.

Question 3

Version conflicts/Code 10 or 31?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall any prior TI PCIxx21/xx11 or generic Windows driver, delete the device and driver software, reboot, then install only one matching package. Do not mix FlashMedia/UltraMedia and CardBus drivers.
