Author: Texas Instruments

Question 1

Install fails with Code 10/28?

Accepted Answer

the PCI 1225 CardBus driver may be unsigned or mismatched to 64-bit Windows. Use a compatible 32-bit build or install manually via Device Manager > Update driver > Browse > Let me pick, selecting the Texas Instruments PCI 1225 CardBus Controller.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

CardBus/PCMCIA may be disabled in BIOS or the slot is not seated. Enable CardBus/PCMCIA in BIOS, reseat the card, then Scan for hardware changes. Check for a yellow mark and avoid power-saving that disables the controller.

Question 3

Version/resource conflict (Code 31)?

Accepted Answer

remove old TI PCI bridge/CardBus entries with hidden devices shown, reboot, and let Windows auto-assign IRQ/memory. Use the OEM-matched driver, not a generic PCI-to-PCMCIA package.
