Name: Tekram DC 390U4W Driver
Author: Tekram

Question 1

Install fails or driver is rejected?

Accepted Answer

The DC-390U4W is a legacy Ultra160 SCSI adapter; Windows may block its older driver. Run the installer as administrator, use Windows compatibility mode, and check Device Manager for a signed/unsigned driver warning before reinstalling.

Question 2

Adapter or SCSI devices not detected?

Accepted Answer

Reseat the PCI card and try another slot, confirm PCI/PnP is enabled in BIOS, and check SCSI termination and unique target IDs. The adapter may appear under “SCSI and RAID controllers” rather than as a Tekram device.

Question 3

Driver version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove any previous Tekram or generic SCSI driver entries, reboot, then install the correct DC-390U4W package. Avoid mixing bundled and Windows-native SCSI drivers, which can cause duplicate devices or repeated code 10/28 errors.
