Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the driver package matches your Windows version and architecture, then run setup as administrator. If Windows blocks the legacy SCSI miniport, install manually via Device Manager → Update driver → Browse → Have Disk, and reboot.

Question 2

Adapter or SCSI devices not detected?

Accepted Answer

Reseat the PCI card and try another slot; check BIOS PCI enumeration. Verify SCSI cable seating, termination, and unique target IDs—bad termination often makes drives disappear.

Question 3

Driver version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove previous Tekram SCSI adapter entries in Device Manager (show hidden devices), reboot, and install only one matching driver package. Avoid mixing 32-bit and 64-bit files; check for yellow-bang conflicts after reboot.
