Question 1

Install fails or driver is rejected?

Accepted Answer

The SkyStar 2 TV PCI uses an older driver package. Run the installer as Administrator, use Windows compatibility mode for the listed OS, and confirm the package matches your Windows architecture. On Windows 10/11, driver signature enforcement may block it; use only a trusted signed build or test-signing only if you accept the risk.

Question 2

Card not detected?

Accepted Answer

Power off, reseat the PCI card firmly, try another PCI slot, and check Device Manager for an unknown/multimedia device. Confirm it is the PCI version, not USB, and that the slot is enabled in BIOS.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove old TechniSat/BDA tuner entries and bundled TV software before installing a different driver. Do not mix SkyStar 2 PCI drivers with SkyStar USB or newer DVB-S packages.
