Name: Targus USB3.0 DV Docking Station Driver
Author: Targus

Question 1

Driver install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the dock, uninstall any existing DisplayLink driver, reboot, then install the Targus/DisplayLink package as administrator. Temporarily disable antivirus if it blocks the installer.

Question 2

Dock not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use the supplied USB 3.0 cable and a direct USB 3.0 port—not a hub. Confirm the dock’s power adapter is connected, then check that the DisplayLink service is running. Try another USB 3.0 port/cable.

Question 3

Version conflicts or displays stop working?

Accepted Answer

Remove older DisplayLink versions before upgrading. If Windows Update replaces the driver, reinstall the Targus-approved version and prevent automatic driver updates for that device.
