Name: Tandberg Data LTO 6 drive Driver
Author: Tandberg Data

Question 1

Install fails or package is blocked?

Accepted Answer

Run the Tandberg Data LTO-6 installer as administrator and unblock the downloaded file before extracting. Match the driver to your Windows build and SAS HBA; do not force an unsigned or older LTO driver.

Question 2

Drive not detected?

Accepted Answer

Verify power and a supported SAS HBA connection—not a RAID-only port. Reseat the SAS cable, rescan Device Manager, and confirm the HBA driver/firmware. Run Tandberg Data/IBM tape diagnostics if the drive still does not appear.

Question 3

Driver version conflict?

Accepted Answer

Remove any existing Tandberg/IBM LTO tape driver, including hidden devices, reboot, then install the current LTO-6 package. Do not mix Windows native tape drivers with vendor drivers; update HBA firmware if Device Manager shows a warning.
