Name: Tandberg Data LTO 3 drive Driver
Author: Tandberg Data

Question 1

Install fails?

Accepted Answer

Run the Tandberg Data package as administrator and match it to your Windows version/architecture. If setup still fails, check Event Viewer, remove older tape-driver packages, reboot, then install via Device Manager > Update driver.

Question 2

Drive not detected?

Accepted Answer

Verify power and SAS/SCSI cabling, HBA driver, and SCSI termination. Rescan hardware in Device Manager; confirm the LTO-3 drive appears under Tape drives, not as an unknown device.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall previous Tandberg/IBM/HPE tape drivers and stop backup services before installing. Use only the current Tandberg package, reboot, and update drive firmware if backups still fail.
