Question 1

Install fails or setup cannot find the T2250?

Accepted Answer

Run the TallyGenicom installer as administrator, connect the printer only when prompted, and add it manually via Add Printer using the T2250 driver if auto-detect fails. Temporarily disable antivirus during install.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the correct interface—parallel, serial, or USB—and select the matching port (LPT1, COM, or USB001) in Printer Properties. Try another cable/port; for parallel, check LPT is enabled in BIOS. Reinstall the USB printer port if Device Manager shows an unknown device.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove old Tally/TallyGenicom printers and drivers in Print Management, restart, then install the driver matching your Windows version and architecture (x86/x64). Don’t force a generic dot-matrix driver; use the T2250-specific package.
