Name: Tally Dascom 7206 Driver
Author: TallyGenicom

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the Tally Dascom 7206 setup as administrator and use Windows compatibility mode for older OS versions. If Windows blocks the legacy dot-matrix driver, temporarily disable driver signature enforcement, then reinstall.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Power on the 7206 before opening the installer. Reseat the USB or parallel cable, try another port/cable, and check Device Manager for an unknown device. For USB models, avoid unpowered hubs.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove any existing TallyGenicom/Dascom 7206 printer queue and old driver in Print Management, reboot, then install the correct 32-bit or 64-bit package. Do not mix generic dot-matrix drivers with the model-specific driver.
