Question 1

Install fails or Windows blocks the driver?

Accepted Answer

The STK1160 driver may be unsigned or incompatible with newer Windows. Run the installer as administrator, or update manually via Device Manager; if blocked, temporarily disable driver signature enforcement.

Question 2

Grabber not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try a different USB 2.0 port and cable, avoid hubs, and check Device Manager under “Imaging devices” or “Sound, video and game controllers.” Replug after installation.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall old Syntek/STK1160 drivers and capture software, remove hidden devices, reboot, then install one matching driver. Avoid mixing vendor drivers with generic USB Video Class drivers.
