Name: Sunplus SPCA533 Driver
Author: Sunplus

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

The SPCA533 package may be blocked by Windows driver signing or an incompatible OS build. Run the installer as administrator, uninstall any previous Sunplus/SPCA webcam driver in Device Manager (select “Delete the driver software”), reboot, then retry a signed package matching your Windows version.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check the camera’s USB cable and use a direct rear USB 2.0 port, not a hub. In Device Manager, scan for hardware changes; if the SPCA533 appears as “Unknown USB Device” or under Imaging devices with a warning, reinstall its driver.

Question 3

Version conflicts/yellow warning?

Accepted Answer

Multiple Sunplus drivers can cause Code 10 or 31. Remove all old SPCA webcam entries, reboot, install only one SPCA533 driver, and prevent Windows Update from replacing it via the device driver update policy.
