Question 1

Installer fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the StyleCAD V9 driver installer as administrator, close StyleCAD, and temporarily disable antivirus/Windows Defender. If it still fails, uninstall any previous StyleCAD/USB-key driver, reboot, then reinstall.

Question 2

USB key/device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use a rear USB 2.0 port directly on the PC, not a hub. Check Device Manager for an Unknown Device or flagged USB security key; reinstall the driver and reboot before opening StyleCAD V9.

Question 3

Version conflicts after Windows updates?

Accepted Answer

Remove older Sentinel/HASP or StyleCAD driver entries in Apps & Features and Device Manager, reboot, then install only the driver version matching StyleCAD V9. Do not mix 32-bit and 64-bit installers.
