Name: SUNIX 4037T SUN 1889 Driver
Author: SUNIX

Question 1

Install fails or driver is blocked?

Accepted Answer

The 4037T uses the older SUNIX/SUN1889 serial driver. Use the exact 4037T package, run it as administrator, and only disable driver signature enforcement if the vendor package is unsigned; reboot before installing.

Question 2

Card not detected?

Accepted Answer

Reseat the PCIe card, try another x1 slot, and check BIOS for PCIe/legacy COM support. In Device Manager, look under “Other devices” or “Ports (COM & LPT)” for an unknown SUNIX device.

Question 3

COM port or version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall previous SUNIX serial drivers and remove hidden COM ports, then install the 4037T driver. If COM numbers clash, reassign the port in Device Manager.
