Name: STMicroelectronics 3 Axis Digital Accelerometer Driver
Author: STMicroelectronics

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the STMicroelectronics installer as administrator and verify the package is signed for your Windows version. If Windows blocks it, get the current OEM-signed driver instead of forcing an unsigned one.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check BIOS/UEFI that the accelerometer/sensor hub is enabled. In Device Manager, enable “Show hidden devices” and look for an unknown I2C/SMBus sensor; verify the internal ribbon or I2C connection on laptops/tablets.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall any existing STMicroelectronics accelerometer driver and delete its driver software, reboot, then install the matching OEM/ST package. Avoid mixing generic and vendor sensor drivers; roll back if an update breaks screen rotation or orientation.
