Author: Star Micronics

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the TSP743II, run the Star driver installer as administrator, and remove old “Star TSP700”/TSP700II queues and drivers in Print Management. Reboot, then reinstall the correct 32/64-bit package.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the printer is powered and connected directly to a USB port, not a hub. Check Device Manager for an unknown USB device; install the Star USB driver first, then create the TSP743II queue on the correct USB/COM/IP port.

Question 3

Version conflicts or duplicate queues?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Star drivers, OPOS components, and duplicate TSP700II queues, then reboot. Install only the latest matching Star Micronics driver to avoid mixed 32-bit/64-bit or legacy TSP700 files.
