Name: Star TSP600 Cutter (TSP643) Driver
Author: Star Micronics

Question 1

Driver install fails?

Accepted Answer

Use the Star Micronics TSP600 Cutter (TSP643) driver matching your Windows version. Run the installer as administrator; for legacy unsigned packages, use Windows compatibility mode or temporarily disable driver signature enforcement.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the printer is powered on and passes its self-test. Check the USB/serial/parallel cable and port, then verify the correct port (e.g., USB001 or COMx) is assigned in Printer Properties. Avoid USB hubs for initial setup.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Star Micronics drivers and duplicate TSP600 print queues, restart the print spooler, then install one driver version only. Do not mix generic POS drivers with the Star TSP643 cutter driver.
