Question 1

Install fails or driver is blocked?

Accepted Answer

Download the correct TSP700 driver for your Windows version and interface (USB, serial, or parallel), run the installer as administrator, and allow the Star driver if Windows prompts. Remove any partial install first.

Question 2

Receipt printer not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the TSP700 is powered on and passes its self-test, reseat the interface cable, and check Device Manager/port settings. For USB, try another port; for serial/parallel, verify the correct COM/LPT port and printer queue.

Question 3

Version conflicts or duplicate queues?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Star Micronics drivers and delete stale TSP700 print queues, restart the Print Spooler, then reinstall one driver version. Avoid mixing TSP700 and TSP700II drivers.
