Author: Seiko

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the Seiko SLP 450 installer as administrator with the printer unplugged, and disable antivirus during setup. Confirm you have the correct 32/64-bit driver; older packages may need Windows compatibility mode.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Power on the SLP 450, use a known-good USB cable and a direct rear USB port rather than a hub. Check Device Manager for an unknown device, then reconnect the printer when the installer prompts.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove older Seiko SLP software and drivers for other SLP models first. In Device Manager, show hidden devices and uninstall stale SLP entries, then reboot and reinstall the SLP 450 driver.
