Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the Sk720T driver installer as administrator, unblock the downloaded file, and temporarily disable antivirus. If setup still fails, remove any older scanner/COM-port driver in Device Manager, reboot, then reinstall.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use a data-capable USB cable and a direct rear USB port, not a hub. Confirm the Sk720T appears in Device Manager; if it is in HID keyboard mode, scan the configuration barcode for USB HID or virtual COM mode as required.

Question 3

Version conflicts/COM port errors?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall previous Sk720T drivers and remove hidden COM ports, restart Windows, then install the latest driver. Avoid mixing HID and virtual-COM installs; keep the scanner in one mode.
