Name: Silicon Wave Bluetooth Wireless Adapter Driver
Author: Silicon Wave

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the adapter, uninstall any existing Bluetooth driver/stack, run the Silicon Wave installer as administrator, and reboot before reconnecting. If Windows blocks the legacy package, use compatibility mode for the listed Windows version.

Question 2

Adapter not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try another USB port, preferably a rear direct port. Check Device Manager for an Unknown Device, then reinstall the package. Verify the hardware ID matches Silicon Wave; if not, the adapter may be faulty or a different model.

Question 3

Version conflicts or limited function?

Accepted Answer

Remove other Bluetooth software (WIDCOMM, Toshiba, generic Microsoft stack) so only one stack is active. If Windows Update replaces the driver, roll back or reinstall the Silicon Wave version and disable automatic driver updates for that device.
