Name: Sigma Designs REALmagic DVD Module Driver
Author: Sigma Designs

Question 1

Install fails or driver won’t load?

Accepted Answer

The REALmagic DVD Module uses legacy Sigma Designs drivers that may be unsigned or incompatible with newer Windows. Run the installer as administrator, check Device Manager error codes (e.g., Code 10/28), and use a supported Windows version or temporarily disable driver signature enforcement.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Reseat the DVD module/card, try another PCI slot if applicable, confirm BIOS detects it, and install motherboard chipset drivers. In Device Manager, look for an unknown multimedia/video controller and install the matching Sigma driver manually.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove previous Sigma Designs or third-party DVD decoder drivers first. In Device Manager, uninstall the device and delete the driver, reboot, then install the correct 32-bit/64-bit REALmagic package. Avoid mixing drivers from other DVD decoder cards.
