Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the Sierra Wireless installer as administrator, disconnect other WWAN adapters, and close VPN/mobile broadband tools. If it still fails, uninstall the old package in Programs and Features, reboot, then reinstall.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check Device Manager for an unknown WWAN/modem device or disabled adapter. Enable it, disable airplane mode, reseat the SIM, and confirm the WWAN module is enabled in BIOS/Windows mobile broadband settings.

Question 3

Version conflicts or unstable connection?

Accepted Answer

Remove duplicate Sierra Wireless drivers in Device Manager, reboot, and install only the package matching your module and Windows build. Avoid mixing OEM and Sierra Wireless installers.
