Name: Sierra Wireless AirCard 503 Driver
Author: Sierra Wireless

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the Sierra Wireless installer as administrator and use Windows compatibility mode for the OS supported by the AirCard 503 driver. Close Sierra Watcher/other modem software and temporarily disable antivirus before reinstalling.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Fully seat the AirCard 503 in an active PCMCIA/PC Card slot, not a USB-to-PCMCIA adapter. Check Device Manager for an unknown modem; if missing, enable the slot in BIOS and reinstall the Sierra driver.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove older Sierra Wireless AirCard/3G Watcher drivers and utilities via Programs and Features and Device Manager, reboot, then install only the AirCard 503 package. Avoid mixing generic Sierra WWAN drivers with the model-specific driver.
