Name: Sharp MX M503N PCL6 Driver
Author: Sharp

Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Remove older Sharp MX-M503N or PCL5/Universal queues and stale TCP/IP ports in Print Management, reboot, then run the PCL6 installer as administrator. If setup still fails, extract the driver and add the printer manually using the PCL6 INF.

Question 2

Printer not detected?

Accepted Answer

For network use, verify the MX-M503N IP, subnet, and RAW/9100 port, then add a Standard TCP/IP port manually instead of relying on WSD. For USB, use a direct rear port and a known-good cable.

Question 3

Version or queue conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall conflicting Sharp PCL5/Universal drivers, delete duplicate MX-M503N queues, and install only the matching PCL6 driver. Keep one queue as default to prevent jobs going to stale ports.
