Author: Sharp

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Remove any existing Sharp MX M314N/PCL6 print queue in Settings > Printers & scanners, reboot, then run the Sharp installer as administrator. Use the Sharp setup package rather than Windows Add Printer.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the MX M314N is on and connected to the same network/subnet or USB port. Print a configuration page for its IP, then add a TCP/IP port and select the Sharp MX M314N PCL6 driver manually.

Question 3

Version conflicts after update?

Accepted Answer

Delete the old queue and driver package via Print Server Properties > Drivers, restart the Print Spooler, and reinstall the latest Sharp PCL6 package. Avoid mixing universal and device-specific Sharp drivers on one queue.
