Author: Sharp

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Remove any existing Sharp MX-C312 PCL6/PS driver and printer queue first via Settings > Apps or Print Management. Run the installer as administrator, then reboot before reinstalling the latest Sharp package.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the MX-C312 is powered on and connected. For network use, assign a static IP or verify DHCP, create a Standard TCP/IP port with the correct address (usually RAW/9100), and allow the printer through Windows Firewall.

Question 3

Version conflicts or duplicate queues?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Sharp drivers and remove stale ports in Print Management. Avoid mixing PCL6 and PS drivers for the same queue; install one PCL6 driver version, reboot, and reconnect the printer.
