Name: Sharp MX C300W PPD Driver
Author: Sharp

Question 1

Install fails or PPD not listed?

Accepted Answer

Extract the downloaded package fully before running setup. Run the installer as administrator. If adding manually, use “Have Disk” and point to the PPD/INF file—don’t select a generic Sharp model.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the MX C300W is on the same network/subnet as the PC. Enter the printer’s IP directly when creating a TCP/IP port, check firewall rules, and reserve the IP so it doesn’t change.

Question 3

Version conflicts / wrong driver?

Accepted Answer

Remove old Sharp print queues, ports, and drivers, then reboot. Install the current model-specific PPD—avoid mixing Universal PS and MX C300W PPD drivers. Recreate the queue and test print.
