Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect USB, remove existing Sharp MX 7001N entries in Printers & scanners and Sharp driver packages in Print Server Properties, then run the installer as administrator.

Question 2

Device not detected on network?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the MX 7001N has a valid IP, ping it from the PC, and add it by IP rather than hostname. Keep PC and copier on the same subnet and allow SNMP/port 9100.

Question 3

Version conflicts or duplicate queues?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Sharp PCL/PS drivers and remove duplicate MX 7001N queues before installing. Reboot, set the new queue as default, and test print/copy.
