Name: Sharp MX 4100N PCL6 Printer Driver
Author: Sharp

Question 1

Install fails?

Accepted Answer

Remove older Sharp MX-4100N PCL6/PS entries in Print Management, reboot, run the installer as administrator. If it still fails, add via Standard TCP/IP port using the extracted INF.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use a static IP and TCP/IP port, not WSD/hostname. Ping the printer, then create a Standard TCP/IP port and select the Sharp MX 4100N PCL6 driver; enable RAW port 9100.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove duplicate WSD/TCP ports and older Sharp drivers before reinstalling. If jobs spool but do not print, clear the queue, restart Print Spooler, then reinstall the signed PCL6 driver as administrator.
