Name: Sharp AR 235 PCL6 Driver
Author: Sharp

Question 1

Install fails with “driver cannot be installed”?

Accepted Answer

Remove any existing Sharp AR-235 queue, run the installer as administrator, and use the PCL6 package for the correct Windows architecture. Temporarily disable antivirus if it blocks the setup files.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the AR-235 is powered on and connected to the correct port—USB directly to the PC, or TCP/IP with the copier’s fixed IP. Avoid WSD; create a Standard TCP/IP port manually.

Question 3

Version conflicts or duplicate printers?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Sharp drivers and delete leftover queues in Print Management, then reboot before installing the latest AR 235 PCL6 driver. Do not mix PCL6 and PS drivers on the same queue.
