Author: Seiko

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the Seiko Precision BP 9000 installer as Administrator and connect the printer only when prompted. If setup still fails, install in Windows 7 compatibility mode and remove any previous Seiko printer driver package first.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check printer power and use a direct USB port, not a hub. In Device Manager, scan for hardware changes; if needed, add the BP 9000 manually and select the correct USB/serial port. Try a known-good cable.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Windows Update or an older Seiko package may install a conflicting driver. Open Print Management, delete the existing BP 9000 printer and driver package, restart the Print Spooler, then install the latest Seiko driver and reboot.
