Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the Seagull BP 744 Plus driver installer as Administrator, disconnect the printer until prompted, and temporarily disable antivirus. Remove any older Seagull/Birch package in Apps & Features, reboot, then reinstall.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the BP 744 Plus directly to a USB port, not a hub, and try a known-good cable. Power-cycle the printer, then add it manually in Devices and Printers using the correct USB/COM port.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall other Seagull or generic label-printer drivers for this model, clear stale printer entries, and install only the BP 744 Plus package matching your Windows architecture. Reboot afterward and avoid mixing 32-bit and 64-bit drivers.
