Name: Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 Driver
Author: Seagate

Question 1

Drive not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check both the SATA data and power cables, try another SATA port, and confirm the Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 appears in BIOS/UEFI. If it is still missing, test it in another system or SATA enclosure; persistent absence suggests drive failure.

Question 2

Windows install cannot find the drive?

Accepted Answer

This HDD does not use a standalone Seagate driver. The cause is usually the motherboard SATA controller: set BIOS/UEFI to AHCI, or load the correct Intel/AMD chipset SATA driver during Windows Setup.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts or unstable detection?

Accepted Answer

Remove old chipset storage drivers and install the motherboard vendor’s latest SATA/AHCI driver. Do not switch between RAID and AHCI after OS installation, as this can cause boot errors. Re-seat cables and check drive health with SeaTools.
