Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall any older ScanSnap Manager/Organizer first, reboot, then run the Fujitsu ScanSnap S1500 setup as administrator. Temporarily pause antivirus and confirm you downloaded the 32-bit or 64-bit package matching Windows.

Question 2

Scanner not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the S1500 directly to a USB 2.0 port (no hub), use its power adapter, and try another cable/port. Restart ScanSnap Manager and check Device Manager for unknown USB devices.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Do not install multiple ScanSnap Manager versions. Remove previous versions and patches, reboot, then install only the S1500-compatible package. If scanning fails after an update, roll back to the last working Fujitsu release.
