Name: Saitek X45 Flight Controller (HID) Driver
Author: Saitek

Question 1

Installer fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

right-click the Saitek X45 driver setup and Run as administrator; set Compatibility Mode to an older Windows version if needed. Reboot before plugging in the controller.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

connect the X45 directly to a rear USB 2.0 port, not an unpowered hub. In Device Manager, remove any “Unknown USB Device” or hidden HID entries, then replug it.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

uninstall existing Saitek/Mad Catz HID and SST software, remove duplicate X45 entries in Device Manager, and install only one legacy X45-compatible driver. Avoid mixing old X45 drivers with newer Saitek software.
