Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the ScanSnap S1300i before installing. Uninstall older ScanSnap Manager/Home and scanner drivers, restart Windows, then run the Fujitsu installer as administrator.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use the supplied USB cable directly into a rear PC port, not a hub. Confirm the scanner is powered and recognized in Device Manager; reconnect after the driver finishes installing.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Don’t mix ScanSnap Manager, ScanSnap Home, and older S1300i driver packages. Remove previous versions via Programs and Features, restart, and install only the Fujitsu package matching your Windows version.
