Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall any existing Savin/Ricoh MP 5002 driver, restart the print spooler, and run the installer as administrator. Confirm you downloaded the correct 32/64-bit package for your Windows version.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

For network use, assign a static IP to the MP 5002, ping it, then add a Standard TCP/IP port manually. For USB, try a direct rear port and replace the cable; avoid hubs.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove old PCL/PS and scanner drivers before upgrading. Clear stuck print jobs, reboot, then install one matching driver package. If scanning fails, reinstall the TWAIN/WIA driver separately.
