Name: SCM SCR3310 Driver
Author: TTX

Question 1

Driver install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the SCR3310 reader, run the TTX/SCM installer as administrator, and temporarily disable antivirus/security software. If Windows rejects the package, try compatibility mode for Windows 7/8 or install the WHQL-signed driver via Windows Update.

Question 2

Reader not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use a different USB port—prefer a direct rear port, not a hub. Check Device Manager for an unknown USB device, reinstall the driver, restart the Smart Card service (`scardsvr`), and confirm the smart card is seated correctly.

Question 3

Version conflicts/old driver loaded?

Accepted Answer

In Device Manager, uninstall the SCR3310 under Smart card readers, select “Delete driver software,” reboot, then install the correct TTX/SCM package. Avoid mixing vendor setup and Windows Update driver versions; keep one signed driver installed.
