Name: Sansa Clip Zip 4GB Driver
Author: Sansa

Question 1

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

On the Clip Zip 4GB, set USB Mode to MSC under Settings > System Settings > USB Mode, then use a known data cable and a rear USB port. It should appear as a removable drive; no Sansa-specific driver is needed.

Question 2

Install fails?

Accepted Answer

Windows 7+ uses built-in MSC/MTP drivers. Don’t install Sansa Updater as a driver. If MTP setup fails, switch the player to MSC or repair the Windows Media Player/MTP stack.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall old SanDisk/Sansa Updater and third-party driver packs, remove hidden USB devices in Device Manager, reboot, and reconnect the Clip Zip.
