Name: SanDisk Sansa m240 Driver
Author: SanDisk

Question 1

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try a different USB port/cable and avoid hubs. On the m240, set USB Mode to MSC (or MTP if using Windows Media Player) in Settings, reconnect, and check Device Manager for an unknown USB device.

Question 2

Driver install fails?

Accepted Answer

Don’t force an old SanDisk driver package on Windows 10/11; the m240 uses Windows’ built-in USB Mass Storage/MTP driver. Remove any failed entry in Device Manager, unplug, reboot, then reconnect.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Sansa Updater/Windows Media Player driver entries if the player shows as unavailable or duplicates appear. Reboot, let Windows reinstall the inbox driver, then sync.
