Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the ImageMate 8 in 1, run the installer as administrator, and use compatibility mode for the listed Windows version. If setup still fails, open Device Manager, choose Update driver > Browse, and point to the extracted driver folder.

Question 2

Reader not detected?

Accepted Answer

Plug it directly into a rear USB 2.0 port, not a hub. Reseat the memory card and check Device Manager for an unknown USB device. If nothing appears, test another cable/port; if it appears but no drive shows, check Disk Management for a missing drive letter.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older ImageMate or other card-reader drivers, remove ghost devices in Device Manager, reboot, then install the correct 32/64-bit package. Assign a new drive letter if the reader appears without one.
