Name: SanDisk Cruzer Switch USB Device Driver
Author: SanDisk

Question 1

Install fails or Windows rejects the driver?

Accepted Answer

The Cruzer Switch normally uses Windows’ built-in USB mass-storage driver. Don’t force an incompatible SanDisk package; disconnect the drive, run any installer as administrator, reboot, then let Windows Update install the correct driver.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try another USB port, preferably a rear port on a desktop, and remove hubs. Check Device Manager for unknown USB devices and Disk Management for the drive. Update the USB controller driver, then reconnect the Cruzer Switch.

Question 3

Version conflicts or old driver?

Accepted Answer

In Device Manager, right-click the Cruzer Switch under Disk drives/USB devices, uninstall the device, unplug it, reboot, and reconnect so Windows reloads the current driver. Avoid third-party driver updaters.
