Question 1

Driver install fails?

Accepted Answer

Windows usually uses the built-in USB mass storage driver. In Device Manager, right-click the Cruzer Glide, choose Update driver > Search automatically, or uninstall the device and reconnect it.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try a different USB port, avoid unpowered hubs, and check Disk Management for an unassigned drive letter. Test on another PC to rule out a bad USB cable/port or failed flash drive.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall any old SanDisk or third-party USB storage drivers in Device Manager, restart, and let Windows reinstall the generic driver. Avoid driver-updater tools; they often install incompatible versions.
