Name: Saitek P2900 Wireless Pad (USB) Driver
Author: Saitek

Question 1

Install fails or driver won’t load?

Accepted Answer

Run the Saitek P2900 installer as Administrator in Windows compatibility mode; if it still fails, open Device Manager, right-click the unknown/USB receiver device, choose Update driver > Browse, and point to the extracted P2900 INF folder. Avoid unsigned “universal” packages.

Question 2

Pad not detected?

Accepted Answer

Plug the USB receiver directly into a rear USB 2.0 port, not a hub. Insert fresh batteries in the pad and press its connect/pair button; check Device Manager for “Saitek P2900” or an unknown HID device.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall all existing Saitek/Mad Catz software and any duplicate HID-compliant game controller entries, reboot, then install only one P2900 driver version. Do not mix old Saitek drivers with newer generic HID drivers.
