Name: Saitek Gamepad Driver
Author: Saitek

Question 1

Installer fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the gamepad, uninstall any existing Saitek/Mad Catz gamepad driver, reboot, then run the correct 32-/64-bit installer as administrator. Temporarily disable security software if it blocks driver files.

Question 2

Gamepad not detected?

Accepted Answer

Plug it directly into a rear USB port, not a hub. Check Device Manager for Unknown/USB device entries and update the driver manually via “Have Disk.” Test another USB port or PC to rule out cable/port failure.

Question 3

Version conflicts or misbehaving buttons?

Accepted Answer

Remove old Saitek driver entries and hidden devices in Device Manager, reboot, and install only one driver package. Avoid mixing Windows Update and vendor drivers; recalibrate in “Set up USB game controllers” afterward.
