Name: Saitek Cyborg V.5 Keyboard (HID) Driver
Author: Saitek

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the keyboard, uninstall any older Saitek/Smart Technology HID or SST software, restart, then run the installer as administrator. Confirm you are using a Windows-compatible package and check the driver signature/date if Windows blocks it.

Question 2

Keyboard not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect it directly to a rear USB 2.0 port, not an unpowered hub. In Device Manager, check for “Unknown USB Device” or a flagged HID Keyboard Device, uninstall it, scan for hardware changes, and reconnect.

Question 3

Version conflicts / duplicate HID entries?

Accepted Answer

Enable “Show hidden devices” in Device Manager, remove stale Saitek Cyborg V.5/HID keyboard entries, then install only one driver version. Avoid mixing old Saitek software with newer HID drivers.
