Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Twister driver packages are legacy and often 32-bit. Extract the files and use Device Manager > Update driver > Browse manually; run setup as administrator in compatibility mode. If blocked, temporarily disable driver signature enforcement.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check BIOS for AGP aperture/onboard graphics conflicts, reseat the card, install motherboard chipset drivers, and enable “Show hidden devices” in Device Manager. Confirm the exact Twister variant before installing.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Windows Update or another S3 driver may override the Twister package. Uninstall the existing S3 adapter with “Delete driver software,” reboot, install the matching driver, then block automatic driver updates or use Roll Back Driver.
