Question 1

Driver install fails?

Accepted Answer

Run the latest VCDS installer as administrator and allow the Ross-Tech USB driver when prompted. Disconnect the Micro-CAN until installation finishes; if Windows blocks the driver, update VCDS rather than forcing an old driver.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Plug the Micro-CAN directly into a rear USB port, not a hub. Check Device Manager for an unknown/Ross-Tech USB device, try a known-good USB cable, then reinstall the Ross-Tech USB driver from the VCDS package.

Question 3

Software/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Use a VCDS version that supports your Micro-CAN and avoid mixing old drivers with new VCDS. Remove stale Ross-Tech USB devices in Device Manager, reinstall the current driver, and check interface firmware compatibility before troubleshooting further.
